9 Characters I Love

it seems that the more consistent characters (yet relatable) are, the more I love them.  I realise that sounds like a complete oxymoron, but you’ll see what I mean.

Nick Miller [New Girl] - a 30 year old guy who has a sort of thing going on with Jess Day.  He’s a bartender who dropped out of law school and probably doesn’t really know what he wants to do with his life.  He’s a good guy — a great one, in fact — and I find that really cute.  I feel like he tries to understand Jess a lot — well, all the guys do — but for some reason he just really stands out.  Maybe it’s because I completely grock what he’s going through in life right now.

Alex Kerkovich [Happy Endings] - this girl is a rockstar to me, mostly because of how she realised she shouldn’t be marrying Dave and ditched the idea.  I mean, leaving the altar wasn’t exactly the best thing, but I feel like she knew the difference between cold feet and just knowing that it wasn’t the best thing…  and a lot of people don’t really know how to deal with that.  Also, Elisha Cuthbert is gorgeous.

Earl [2 Broke Girls] - the adorable cashier at the diner who has his old jazz CDs on the counter just in case anyone wants to buy them.  He doesn’t have a storyline per se yet, but I hope that he has one soon, he’s just so freaking adorable.  (I’ve never had a grandfather character all my life, so that’s where this is coming from)

Henry Mills [Once Upon a Time] - a cute little kid who goes all the way to Boston to find his mother and ask her to go to his home so that she can rescue his whole town.  Not only is Henry brave and wonderfully adorable, he is made entirely of awesome.

Karen Walker [Will & Grace] - who wouldn’t want to be Karen Walker?  She’s rich, she’s gorgeous and she’s always drunk.  To the point where she starts acting funny when she’s sober.  My favourite thing about Karen is the way she’s never afraid to speak her mind.  Also, she has her own little world — and I tend to fall in love with that idea.  I do all the time.

Perry Cox [Scrubs] - this does not require any explanation whatsoever.  Sarcastic and hardcore, but sensitive and scared at the same time.  What I love most about Dr. Cox in Scrubs is the way he learns to grow in the nine seasons of Scrubs.  It sounds terrible, but it’s completely true.

Lexie Grey [Grey’s Anatomy] - she’s cute!  She’s about the only person in the cast of Grey’s with a little bit of, well, sanity.   And I truly love that she doesn’t just take shit from people.  Also, she has a photographic memory and she’s a wonderful doctor.  That’s pretty amazing.

Al Bundy [Married with Children] - this was kind of predictable on my list.  Ed O’Neill’s claim to fame is playing a cynical women’s shoe salesman with (as the character claims) no real point in living.  The consistency of this character as America’s Most Miserable Man is just one of my favourite things about him.

Lily Aldrin Eriksen [How I Met Your Mother] - kindergarten teacher/amateur painter with a strong sense of morals (albeit with a strong sex drive).  She’s probably my role model in a lot of ways (my friend and I used to have this thing about how I was Lily and he was Barney — and he always said that I wasn’t Lily because I didn’t have a Marshall yet.  I do now :D) and I love that her doppelgaenger is a stripper named Jasmine.  God, I wish I had a doppelgaenger whose name was Jasmine.
